Refined Italian religious painting from the second half of the 17th century. Tempera on parchment artwork depicting a Holy Family with little angels immersed in a splendid landscape. We find Baby Jesus trampling on the serpent, symbol of original sin. A group of splendid angels hold up the large cross with garlands of flowers while Saint Joseph appears hidden behind a stone carved in bas-relief that harks back to antiquity. A painting that is difficult to find, for antique dealers and collectors of high-period sacred paintings. Painting that has undergone restoration with the application of parchment on a panel. 20th century frame in carved and gilded wood, with some signs of aging. It has a protective glass, the work is overall in good condition. Sight size H 16 x W 21 cm.
