Beautiful antique Hitchcock chair with lovely patina! There is overall paint loss, but I think it adds to its appeal, shows that it has been around a long time! According to hitchcockfurniture.com this is an early, original chair: “1825-1832 chairs were all signed “L. HITCHCOCK HITCHCOCKSVILLE CONN WARRANTED”” It measures 18 inches seat height, 33 inches tall and 17 inches wide. The thatched seat has been painted (looks like very old paint) and also has paint loss.
